Where Love Meets Purpose.
Our story
Trauma Alert
Serenity Agape Love was birthed from the darkest, most life altering moment of my life. I was an active duty service member doing everything in my power to hold our family together while my former spouse spiraled into alcoholism and drug addiction. I bore the weight of the uniform and the weight of a broken home simultaneously, determined to protect my child while I tried to serve my country with honor.
Everything changed the day our daughter ingested her fatherβs drugs.
She was eight months old.
What followed next is a parentβs worst nightmare. I found myself sitting in a hospital room watching my baby fight for her life as the doctors scrambled to save her. She had ingested more than ten times the amount that would have caused a fatal overdose in a regular addict. The medical team told me there was no explanation and no scientific reason that she was still alive. They said her survival made no sense.
But I knew God had placed His hand on her.
I knew He had a purpose for her life.
I knew she was meant to stay on this earth.
My military career was hanging by a thread in those moments. My mental state was completely shattered. My daughter was between life and death. I was torn between being a mother who desperately wanted to protect her child and a service member who was expected to stay strong, steady, and ready. I had nowhere safe to go. There was no temporary housing for families in crisis. No support for service members who were trying to protect children from a spouseβs addiction. No place to turn while waiting for treatment or attempting to transition out of a dangerous home.
I realized then that families like mine were falling through a gap that no one wanted to discuss. A gap that costs careers, benefits, marriages, stability, and sometimes lives. A gap that left service members alone and unprotected in the very moments they needed help the most.
Serenity Agape Love was created to fill that gap.
We exist so no service member has to choose between their childβs safety and their career. We exist so no child has to remain in danger because there is nowhere else for them to go. We exist so the trauma that almost took my daughterβs life can become a testimony that saves others.
My daughter survived for a reason.
I survived for a reason.
And this mission was born for a reason.
Serenity offers peace in the middle of chaos.
Agape expresses the unconditional love that carried us through.
Love reminds every family that healing is possible.
This is our story.
This is why Serenity Agape Love exists.
And this is the covering we will extend to every military family who has cried alone the way I once did.
Every Family Matters.

βThe military teaches strength, but we still face battles at home. Transitional housing is not just helpful, it is life saving. It gives service members a safe place while they wait for treatment or prepare to reunite with their families after rehab.β
